Performance Aluminium Doors

Single leaf outward opening aluminium doorsets with or without side/over panels
PA1 - Aluminium Doorsets
From the very beginning, we set out to minimise the maintenance our products require, so reducing through life costs for our clients.
Our performance aluminium products are designed and manufactured to be “fit and forget”. No matter the environment and with no practical limitation on life span, this is a game changer for owners of large estates.
The PA1 aluminium doorset contains nothing organic, nothing ferrous and has no painted parts. This approach eliminates the traditional issues with timber doorsets of rot, warp, twist and sticking doors and the age old issue with steel doorsets of rust.
Being essentially a Meccano set, the PA1 is available in literally limitless configurations. Apart from single and double leaf doorsets, we offer a range of mullions and transoms and removable solid or louvred panels.
The GRP (glass reinforced plastic) faces are pigmented throughout their full thickness so in the event of surface damage, the same colour still shows through. The pigments we use are UV stable for maximum life. Available in a range of surface textures, we most commonly use a “cracked ice” anti-vandal texture on the external faces of doors – this texture absorbs a high level of vandalism, abuse and daily wear and tear without any visible impact.
The door core is based on 2 interlocking trays of 3mm aluminium sheet filled with an inert polyurethane foam. The foam filling is closed cell, non-hygroscopic and provides excellent thermal properties. The density of this filling has been specified to provide maximum compressive strength to support the doorleaf in the face of frontal attack by, for example, sledgehammer or axe. Every doorleaf is mounted on a full length heavy duty continuous stainless steel hinge.
